General Data Protection Regulations - 2018 update

You may have heard about the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in the news. GDPR comes into force on 25th May 2018 and will replace the current Data Protection Act of 1998.
We are required to gain your specific consent in order to send
treatment reminders, information and marketing information. We are also
under a duty to ensure that the information that we hold on our systems
about you is correct.
Over the next few months we will be asking everyone to complete a form
when you visit the surgery. If any amendments are needed to your
details, we are required to seek proof of ID. We have taken the
decision not to email the forms as we need to be able to ensure that
the actual client has given their consent. If you can foresee a problem
with this or you feel you will be unlikely/unable to visit the practice
in the next few months please let us know and we can discuss
alternative arrangements.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy is useful for both acute and chronic inflammation, ranging from post-surgical wounds, through to traumatic injuries and arthritis. Laser therapy has the added benefit of being drug free.
Treatments take only a few minutes and are totally painless. Prices range between £18 - £25 per session, depending on the condition being treated. Please call the surgery on 01562 822 986 to discuss any questions you may have about this amazing treatment with the team.
What to do if you find an injured animal
If you have found an injured animal that doesn't belong to you please contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 in the first instance. If possible, they can authorise some basic first aid treatments (at no cost to you as the finder). To try to reunite the animal with its owner as soon as possible put up some posters locally, knock on doors and ask neighbours to spread the word. If the animal is microchipped and the details are up-to-date then we can get them reunited quickly.
