Expert Companion Animal Veterinary Care and Advice at Shepherds' Vets

We are an established Kidderminster vets, having provided a veterinary service in Kidderminster and its surrounding areas for over 70 years. The care and wellbeing of your pet is, and always has been, our top priority. We offer expert veterinary care, advice and emergency treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and having our 24-hour emergency service means that there is no need for you to travel to Worcester or Birmingham should your pet requireveterinary attention out of hours.

At our purpose built surgery, on Comberton Hill by the Steam Railway, alongside our 24-hour emergency service, we offer vet and nurse consultations by appointment during surgery hours. We can also provide home visits to our clients, and are happy to do so, particularly at that very difficult time when euthanasia may be indicated.

Led by Head Vet Graeme Shepherd and his wife Alison, we are team of dedicated vets, fully qualified and student registered veterinary nurses (as we are also an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Centre), reception and administration staff, all with a wealth of knowledge and expertise for you and your pet, priding ourselves on our friendliness and professionalism.

Microchipping & Neutering

Our vets and nurses can help and advise onthe microchipping and neutering of your pets.

Compulsory micro chipping in dogs takes effectfrom 6th April 2016; meaning all dogs over theage of 8 weeks must be micro chipped by law from that date.

We now have standard 12mm & mini 8mm micro chips(for small dogs, cats & kittens).

Vaccination & Flea & Worming

Vaccinations, flea and worming treatments are available at our surgery.

Weight and Dental Clinic

Our nurses offer specialist advice and consultations on weight management and dental care for your pet.

Behaviour advice and Puppy Parties

We also offer behavioural advice and consultations as well as running weekly puppy socialisation parties for your new addition!
