Fear Free Accreditation

As part of our commitment to helping your pets get the most out of their veterinary visits to the practice, three of the vets at Shepherds' vet practice have undertaken (or are undertaking) additional training to become fear free accredited.

This means they have had additional training in order to:

help reducing or removing anxiety triggers that can cause pets to become fearful at home, in transport, and at the vets.
help owners deliver calm pets to their vet practice.
plan pre-visit anti anxiety medication protocols (nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals) to facilitate successful, reduced stress examination and facilitate positive experiences at the vets for these otherwise anxious patients.

All of our vets and nurses undertake regular Continued Professional Development (CPD) to ensure that the best level of service and expertise can be provided to you and your pet.
